I really admire the way you systematically approached this. I was fortunate to move to Japan as part of study and then work exchange programs that created automatic networks. Then when I moved to Delhi, I had a baby daughter so parents’ groups became my way to connect. Your article is relevant for expats and locals alike in terms of building networks. Gunnar, this was both practical and deeply relatable. Relocation can be lonely, but your roadmap makes it feel possible, even exciting. Loved the reminder that connection is a daily act, not a one-time fix.
